In Congo a nightmare is raging for decades; millions slaughtered, women and children systematically raped, entire villages burned to the ground, and famine used as a weapon of control. Why? To loot the natural resources, enriching governments and corporate entities at the direct expense of Congolese lives.

Today, the atrocities continue — shielded by the United Nations and East African intergovernmental bodies — with forced child labor, mass rape, and ethnic cleansing still rampant resulting in over 15 million dead and seven million displaced in one province alone. When the United Nations moved to label it genocide in 2014, Barack Obama’s administration vetoed the declaration to protect U.S. interests. This is not war. It is Western-sponsored genocide — ongoing, systematic, and deliberately silenced.

And what fuels it? The phone in your hand. The car you drive. The tech industry’s insatiable hunger for Congo’s minerals—cobalt, coltan, lithium, gold. Resources that power the modern world are extracted through blood and fire. The world profits while Congo is gutted.

The silence is not ignorance. It is complicity. Corporations know. Western governments know. The UN knows. And they let it continue. For decades, reports have detailed the atrocities,
and yet nothing changes. The perpetrators are protected, the victims forgotten.
